The beginning of the poem tells us that nobody hear him, the at rest(predicate) bitkind, before he died and even though he is dead, shut away he coiffure moaning. This poem describes a man that appeared to be a salutary-rounded individual, however, in man described a man with a disembodied spirit-long inner battle that ultimately resulted in his death. The water system in this poem symbolizes life in general. This man was almost submerged in water through tabu his life. He had a laboured clock keeping his head to a higher place water. The back stanza starts off with Poor chap, he always love cavorting. sonny boy might relate to a British origin and to lark means to frolic, or a harmless prank. This man was a jolly man who appeared to everyone as a humourous man that carried himself well. Throughout the poem, the narration shifts mingled with commencement and third person, almost like a colloquy in the midst of the living and the dead. In the first stanza, Smith uses a colon to switch the point of narration. But still he lay moaning: I was much further out than you thought. this as well as repeats in the last stanza.
