In 1928, Joseph Stalin envisioned a modern industrial Soviet Union and began a fivesome Year Plan to determine industry, transportation and Collectivize agriculture. While Stalins Plan ab initio appealed to Russians, his desire for rapid industrialization included harsh finishing with unrealistic incentives, and the collectivization of farms that resulted in the destruction of productivity. Stalins objectives produced results, scarce were unsuccessful because they were earned at the expense of incalculable appealing lives. Stalin believed in economic growth through presidency ownership. He required high production goals and pushed workers to increase output, (sometimes at the military greeting of producing more lower quality goods.) Those who failed to meet quotas, or baffled work were punished. Within five years, industrial complexes were scattered across the Soviet Union, but those industries failed to provide enough consumer goods for the population. Wages were low, shortages were coarse and the standard of living remained poor. The workers had nonhing to show for their extreme sacrifices.
