Writing a Persuasive Essay on Euthanasia
Writing a Persuasive Essay on EuthanasiaWriting a persuasive essay on euthanasia is not an easy task. There are numerous arguments and points to be made about a very difficult topic. It is therefore important that you do your homework.Know your audience. Even though it may seem farfetched to some, you will still want to know what exactly your audience wants to read. Are they young people looking for a fun distraction or are they more mature who are seeking information to help them make a better decision in the event of a painful death? You have to know what it is you want to convey to your audience before you can effectively write the argument you need to make. Even if you know exactly what it is you want to express, you still must write it.Get out of your head. Having the ability to get out of your head and focus on the thoughts of the reader is one of the most important skills you will ever have. I cannot stress this enough. Your mind is the most powerful tool you will ever have in order to persuade and change someone's mind about an issue.Do not be afraid to write! If you want to write well, you have to learn how to write. Learning how to write will teach you the creative mind-set needed to present your arguments effectively. However, you also have to know that you are not going to be able to persuade a group of people one by one.Recognize that you are not just writing to convince, but you are writing because you realize something that your audience needs to hear. People need to hear what your words have to say. They need to hear it from you as a friend. They need to hear it from you as an expert. They need to hear it from you as a human being. By writing from the heart, you not only gain a more effective argument, but you also get the chance to connect with the reader.Write your essay quickly. Your audience will not give you long to talk. They will want to hear what you have to say in a matter of minutes. Since you are an expert, you have a better understan ding of your audience's needs and the time frame you need to give them the information they need. If you spend too much time crafting an argument, you will lose the audience you need to convince. They won't take you seriously. Finally, remember that a persuasive essay on euthanasia must be more than just a series of facts and figures. You must give a more human aspect to your argument and present it as a story that they will relate to as they read it. Write as if you are talking to someone in person, not from the computer.
