In the chaos of fight that day in Yorktown, what was the prize of the commodious efforts of every man in the Ameri nates army, what was the point of fighting, and what was the rationality of the great American Revolution? What was the flicker of light in the soldiers eyes, the hope inside every soul, the necessity of life? liberty! The desire to live in absence of restraint; to a lower place a rational, humanist, and reasonable government. It was this desire that ignited the conflict to expose from inter-continental oppression. The victory at Yorktown quenched the thirst of the American soldier for deliverdom.
What motivation did the simple farmer and everyday somebody of the newly united colonies have to bite the hand that feed them?
